- Team Collaboration: Liaise professionally with external therapists (Speech & Language, Physio, OT) and parents to ensure a joined-up approach to the child's development.
Essential Profile
- Experience: proven experience (professional or voluntary) working with children or young adults with Special Educational Needs, particularly ASC, SLD, or complex behavioural needs.
- SEN Knowledge: A strong understanding of sensory processing issues and the barriers to learning faced by non-verbal or neurodiverse students.
- Resilience & Empathy: The ability to remain calm under pressure, adaptable to changing daily routines, and endlessly patient in your approach to support.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the confidence to work effectively within a large multi-disciplinary team.
- Compliance: A valid Enhanced Child DBS on the update service (or the willingness to apply for one immediately).
