The Role: Championing Students in Cambridge
We are delighted to be working with an established school in Cambridge to find an exceptional Learning Support Assistant (LSA). This role is designed for a proactive individual who can offer both academic mentorship and socio-emotional guidance to students across different year groups. You will be instrumental in bridging gaps in learning, boosting student self-esteem, and helping to foster a positive, focused, and respectful school culture. Key Responsibilities and Impact
- Provide focused intervention and one-to-one coaching to students who require additional support to access the curriculum.
- Work directly with classroom teachers to modify learning materials and strategies, ensuring all students are challenged appropriately.
- Act as a key mentor, assisting students in managing their workload, improving organisational skills, and developing effective study habits.
- Support the promotion of positive behaviour and emotional regulation, helping to create a safe and supportive atmosphere for every child.
- Contribute to the assessment and review process, providing meaningful insights into student engagement and areas for growth.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Substantial experience in a support, coaching, or teaching assistant role within an educational setting is required.
- A naturally enthusiastic, adaptable, and empathetic approach to working with children and young people.
- The proven ability to establish strong, professional, and motivational relationships with students from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent organisational skills combined with clear, persuasive communication.
- A current Enhanced Child DBS on the update service (or the willingness to undergo all necessary checks immediately).
