A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a proactive and committed Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a wonderful partner school located in Diss. We are looking for an individual who can provide essential practical, academic, and emotional support to students, helping them fully access the curriculum and flourish socially and personally. This role is your chance to play a significant part in creating a positive and effective learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide targeted one-to-one and small group intervention to students, reinforcing concepts taught by the teacher.
- Assist the class teacher in preparing and setting up resources and learning activities, ensuring they are accessible to all students.
- Act as a communication bridge between students, teachers, and other professionals, relaying important observations about student progress and well-being.
- Help students develop their literacy, numeracy, and essential life skills, promoting independence.
- Support the positive management of student behaviour, encouraging engagement and respect for others.
- Assist in maintaining a safe, tidy, and stimulating learning environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience as an LSA, Teaching Assistant, or in a related child-support role is a strong advantage.
- A flexible, calm, and positive attitude, with excellent stamina and resilience.
- Proven ability to establish trusting and professional working relationships with young people and colleagues.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow directions effectively.
- A Child DBS on the update service (or the willingness to undergo a new check promptly).
