An exciting opportunity has opened up for a motivated and empathetic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a wonderful partner school in Banham. We are searching for an enthusiastic individual to provide crucial academic and emotional support to students, helping them overcome barriers to learning and participate fully in school life. Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored one-to-one and small group support to students across various subjects and year groups.
- Work collaboratively with the class teacher to adapt and prepare learning materials that meet individual student needs.
- Help foster a calm, positive, and stimulating atmosphere in the classroom and around the school.
- Assist students in developing independent learning skills, organisational abilities, and self-confidence.
- Monitor student progress, provide feedback, and contribute to regular reviews and planning sessions.
- Support students during transitions, break times, and on school trips as required.
Requirements
- Prior experience in a support role within an educational setting is highly desirable.
- A compassionate, flexible, and proactive approach to supporting diverse learners.
- The ability to establish rapport and positive, professional relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Clear and effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- A Child DBS on the update service (or a commitment to successfully obtain one).
