The Role: Fostering Growth in Northstowe
We are excited to be working with an innovative partner school in Northstowe to find a committed Learning Support Assistant (LSA). This pivotal role is designed for a proactive individual who excels at providing holistic, tailored support to students. Your Contribution to Student Flourishing
- Provide personalised academic support, working closely with individuals or small groups to reinforce concepts and solidify understanding across key subjects.
- Collaborate effectively with teachers to prepare a diverse range of resources and activities that cater to varied learning styles and needs.
- Act as a supportive role model, proactively managing classroom behaviour and encouraging positive social interactions and teamwork.
- Monitor students' emotional engagement and learning progress, offering timely feedback and flagging areas where additional support may be required.
- Assist students in developing crucial executive function skills, such as organisation, time management, and independent learning.
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience in an educational or child/youth support capacity is strongly preferred.
- A naturally compassionate, resilient, and resourceful attitude, with a genuine desire to see young people succeed.
- The ability to establish trusting, professional relationships with pupils, staff, and the wider school community.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills are a must.
- A valid Enhanced Child DBS on the update service (or the readiness to promptly apply for one).
