Learning Support Assistant - The Wirral
We are recruiting motivated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to join our partner schools across the Wirral peninsula. This is an opportunity to be a crucial part of a student's daily progress and a rewarding way to contribute to the local community.
Overview of the Role: As a Learning Support Assistant, you'll be integrated into the classroom, providing essential support to both teachers and students. You will help bridge the gap for students who need extra help, whether with academic work or social and emotional development. Roles are available for both long-term and flexible placements.
Postcodes covered: CH41, CH42, CH43, CH44, CH45, CH46, CH47, CH48, CH49, CH60, CH61, CH62, CH63 (Covers Birkenhead, Bebington, Heswall, West Kirkby and Wallasey).
Pay: £150 to £220 per day, based on experience.
Roles type: We offer kinds of full/ part time- long/ short term- temporary and permanent depending on your flexibility and preferences.

Duties:
- Providing in-class support by working directly with students, either one-on-one or in small groups.
- Assisting with learning materials, such as adapting worksheets or creating visual aids to meet student needs.
- Supporting student well-being by acting as a mentor, offering emotional support, and building confidence.
- Helping to manage student behaviour and maintain a positive classroom environment.
- Communicating and reporting on student progress to teachers, the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO), and other staff.
- Supervising students during break times, lunch, or on school trips.
- Implementing a student's individual support plan, such as an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), to ensure they receive the specific support they need.

Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience working with young people is highly desirable.
- An Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or a willingness to obtain one).
- Eligible to Work in the UK (ETW).
