eir industry, is seeking a dedicated individual to ensure the smooth operation of their machinery and equipment at their Romford facility.
In this crucial role, you'll be responsible for maintaining optimal performance and minimizing downtime. You'll conduct regular inspections, troubleshoot technical issues, and perform essential repairs, working closely with other departments to ensure seamless operations throughout your shift.
What You'll Be Doing:
Investigating equipment and plant failures to prevent recurrence.
Actively contributing to continuous improvement projects, optimizing working practices, and reducing waste.
Liaising with other departments, providing specialist engineering support when needed.
Responding promptly to breakdowns to meet daily production schedules.
Ensuring all engineering activities adhere to established standards and SOPs.
Reporting and contributing to investigations of incidents/deviations, aiding in root cause analysis.
Completing and reviewing Risk Assessments, ensuring timely delivery of actions.
Upholding GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) requirements in all aspects of your role.
Performing job tasks safely and complying with all EHS requirements.
Supporting self-inspections, action planning, and follow-up.
What We're Looking For:
Educated to C&G Level 2 or equivalent in either electrical or mechanical disciplines.
Proven electrical and mechanical skills.
Experience in maintenance engineering within a GMP environment.
Proficiency in planned preventative maintenance.
Basic machining skills using a lathe and milling machine.
Welding experience using MIG, ARC, and gas techniques.
Knowledge of IEE wiring regulations.
Desirable: Maintenance engineering experience within the pharmaceutical industry.
Strong knowledge of pumps, motors, mechanical drives, electrical drives, and basic electrical diagnostics.
Familiarity with the operation of PLC-based equipment.
You'll also possess strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and a sound technical understanding of industry equipment. The ideal candidate thrives under pressure and can meet tight deadlines.
