- Role: Maintenance Engineer role
- Salary: £40-45k
- Holiday: 25 days + BH
- Location - Derby with travel to Grimsby as and when required
- Hours - 40 Mon-Fri 07:30 - 4pm + 1hr lunch
- Transport - company van included with a fuel card (for company use only, need driving licence checks for candidates for no points/convictions)
Responsibilities for this Maintenance Engineer role
- Perform on time maintenance via constructive planning
- Undertake the maintenance work as per procedures and standards
- Carrying out daily, weekly and monthly inspections and records using the dedicated computer maintenance management system.
- Local site spare parts management (efficient spare part stock level allowing good productivity and in line with budget expectations). Ensure all statutory inspections are logged. .
- Provide accurate information to support the Capex process.
- Assess every job individually. Observe the work area and report any unsafe conditions or behavior and report it to their line manager, propose corrective actions.
- Participate in safety walk rounds and corrective measures.
- Target the safety critical work. Work safely and methodically at all times.
- Use and fully understand the PTW system where required.
- Manage relevant contractors.
- Use and fully understand the Management Of Change system where required.
Skills required or this for this Maintenance Engineer role
- Previous experience within the Industrial Gas Sector, Chemical and Oil industry along with experience of processes on COMAH related sites.
- A solid background and experience in Mechanical Engineering.
- Knowledge and previous use of CMMS is essential.
- Good knowledge / understanding of plant / process Instrumentation and controls, electrical components and systems and safety systems.
- Knowledge of Pressure Safety Systems Regulation and written schemes is essential.
- Attention to accuracy and knowledge of Management Of Change Procedures.
- Previous experience of Permit To Work systems and RAMS.
- Preferred Qualifications are HND/HNC in an Engineering subject or relevant experience backed up with completed Engineering Apprenticeship
- IOSH working safely or NEBOSH would be desirable.
- PLC, SCADA, drives and automation experience would be desirable.
- Knowledge of Cryogenic processes and cryogenic storage and pumping systems would be desirable.
- The use of Computer Purchasing systems and SAP would be desirable.
- Knowledge of maintenance software systems.
- Full clean driving license.
