Managing Quantity Surveyor
Salary: Up to £75,000 + Company Car or £6,700 Allowance + Fuel Card
Randstad are recruiting a Managing QS for a leading house builder for their commercial team in the North West. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering the company's business plan and commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the commercial function, ensuring compliance, control, and performance management of quantity surveying.
Achieve targets for development budgets and commercial controls.
Support the acquisition of land and the commencement of new sites.
Oversee subcontractor tendering, management, and payments.
Handle CVRs, cost-to-complete reviews, and variation controls.
Take full responsibility for the quantity surveying function on at least one key development.
The Ideal Candidate:
Holds a relevant qualification or has extensive experience in Commercial Management.
Proficient in COINS, Microsoft Excel, and Word.
Possesses a strong understanding of the commercial implications of design and build methods.
Has broad financial and commercial awareness, along with technical knowledge.
Knowledgeable about the construction industry, building regulations, NHBC requirements, and HSE.
Strong analytical, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Excellent communication, engagement, and stakeholder management skills.
