We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler I to join our production team in Heysham. This is an entry-level position perfect for someone looking to build a career in a safe, professional manufacturing environment.
You will be responsible for routine material handling, packing, and supporting production workflows. We provide full training, with a clear pathway to progress to a Level II role within 12 months.
Key Responsibilities
Material Movement: Safely move raw materials, components, and finished goods throughout the facility.
Production Support: Assist with picking, packing, labeling, and basic stock checks.
Quality & Safety: Perform visual checks on products, report deviations, and strictly follow all health and safety protocols (PPE, COSHH, and 5S standards).
Documentation: Maintain clear and accurate records of work orders and equipment checks.
Equipment Operation: Use both manual and automated equipment following training.
What We Are Looking For
Education: Minimum GCSE (or equivalent).
Skills: Basic computer literacy and strong communication skills.
Mindset: A strong focus on safety, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn new processes.
Physicality: Ability to comfortably perform manual handling tasks daily.
Reliability: A team player who can follow instructions accurately and meet deadlines.
