Material Handler II
We are seeking a detail-oriented Material Handler II to join our logistics and operations team in Heysham. This is a full-time, 12-month contract position with a focus on safety, accuracy, and efficiency in a warehouse environment.

Pay Rate: £12.65 per hour
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Overtime available)
Shift Pattern: Mon-Fri rotating shifts:
Week 1: 08:00 - 16:00
Week 2: 09:30 - 17:30
Duration: 12 Months
Location: On-site (Heysham)
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Control: Receive, unpack, and book goods accurately using the JD Edwards (JDE) computer system.
Stock Management: Locate bulk and pre-pack items into relevant hazard warehouses and perform regular cycle counts.
Order Fulfillment: Pick UK and Export shipments following specific pick lists and strict packing/labeling instructions.
Safe Handling: Manage fine chemicals in accordance with Chemical Exposure Management (CEM) regulations.
Logistics: Coordinate with third-party couriers and ensure all export paperwork is completed accurately.
Equipment Operation: Use warehouse machinery (following training) and report any maintenance issues to leadership.
Compliance: Maintain full alignment with Health & Safety, Environmental (EMS), and Quality (QMS) policies.
Requirements
Attention to Detail: Critical for ensuring quality and following precise transport regulations.
Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution setting is highly preferred.
Technical Skills: Comfortable using computer systems for data entry; experience with JDE or similar ERP systems is a plus.
Licenses: A valid Forklift license is significantly beneficial.
