Are you looking for a hands-on role in a fast-paced, high-standard warehouse environment? We're seeking a proactive and safety-conscious Material Handler to join our team in Loughborough.
The Offer
- Rate of Pay: £12.65 per hour
- Payment: Paid weekly
- Location: Onsite in Loughborough
Your Role: Safety, Quality, and Delivery (SQD)
Working alongside the warehouse team, you'll be key to ensuring the smooth operation of our activities, focusing on Safety, Quality, and Delivery (SQD). Your main focus will be safely and accurately meeting our daily goals and commitments to our customers.
Summary of Key Duties
You will be involved in the complete life-cycle of our products within the warehouse:
Receiving:
- Receive and process deliveries/returns.
- Load/unload items (boxes, cages, pallets) using manual handling equipment.
- Check goods against the ASN (Advanced Shipping Notice) or purchase order for quantity and quality.
Storage & Inventory:
- Prepare and book goods into the warehouse management system.
- Locate and accurately put away incoming goods in designated zones.
Picking & Dispatch:
- Pick and assemble customer orders using radio data terminals/picking lists.
- Package and label orders (cartons, pallets, chemicals) for safe and secure transportation.
- Sort and safely load vehicles (third-party carriers and own fleet) according to the manifest.
What You'll Bring
We're looking for motivated individuals who meet the following requirements:
- Experience: Previous experience in warehouse operations, such as forklift driving, picking, packing, or dispatch.
- Communication: Ability to understand written and verbal procedures/instructions in English
Teamwork & Attitude:
- Ability to work cooperatively, encourage a positive working environment, and be flexible within the team.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work alone or within a team.
- Receptive to change, supports continuous development, and actively seeks improvements (e.g., supporting KAISEN, JDI, and 5S initiatives).
- Standards: Uphold Health and Safety guidelines, maintain high standards of quality, and align with company values and KPIs.
Work-wear is provided, and a professional, smartly presented approach is always required. Flexibility regarding shift patterns and occasional additional hours is essential.
