Position Summary:
We are looking for a Maths educator to support pupils with a wide range of special educational needs-such as Autism Spectrum Condition, ADHD, Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties (SEMH), and additional learning barriers. Your role is to design structured, accessible lessons aligned with pupils' EHCPs and individual pathways.
Job Type: Long-term / Full-time
Eligibility Criteria:
- UK QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
- Eligibility to work in the UK (no sponsorship provided)
- Enhanced DBS on the update service
- SEN maths teaching experience essential
- Full weekday availability required
Qualifications:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience:
Must have prior experience teaching maths to SEN learners in a UK classroom setting, with evidence of planning differentiated instruction.
Core Skills:
- Deliver functional maths linked to real-life skills
- Break down complex ideas into manageable steps
- Engage students through hands-on and visual resources
- Promote confidence, self-awareness, and autonomy
- Provide care assistance where appropriate
