We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated MEP / Electrical Project Engineer to join a leading main contractor on a major power/utilities upgrade project in North London.
You will play a key role in the successful delivery of a wide range of electrical projects, from initial design to final testing and commissioning.
Contract duration is 12-18 Months paid CIS
What You'll Do:
- High-Voltage Expertise: Oversee the installation and testing of high-voltage (HV) cables and ducting systems.
- Substation Installation: Lead the installation and testing of primary substations.
- Control System Integration: Install and test building control systems (CCT/SCADA).
- Fire Protection Systems: Install and test active and passive fire protection systems.
- MEP System Integration: Ensure the seamless integration of electrical systems within broader MEP projects.
- Design Review: Review and approve electrical designs, ensuring they meet specifications, regulations, and best practices.
- Site Management: Oversee on-site work, ensuring timely completion and compliance with quality standards.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve technical issues that arise during project execution.
What You'll Bring:
- Proven experience in electrical project engineering.
- Strong understanding of relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Extensive knowledge of HV cable installation, testing, and commissioning.#
- Degree or HNC/HND equivalent in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
- Experience with primary substation installations, CCT/SCADA, and fire protection system installations.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- A civil works understanding is advantageous.
