The role :
A high-achieving, inclusive Secondary School with a strong sense of community is looking to appoint a dedicated Teacher of Spanish to join their dynamic MFL department. The team prides itself on its collaborative ethos, forward-thinking practice, and track record of successfully supporting both experienced and early career teachers.
This is a permanent position, offered on either a Full-time or Part-time basis, and requires recent and relevant experience teaching Spanish up to Key Stage 4. The ability to contribute to French provision is a distinct advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality Spanish lessons across Years 7-11, effectively catering to the full ability range of students.
- Contribute actively to the development of engaging schemes of work and up-to-date resources.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, ensuring all learners are effectively supported to achieve their potential.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment that boosts student confidence.
- Participate in departmental and whole-school initiatives, and support the wider life of the school through enrichment and extracurricular activities.
What We're Looking For
- Strong subject knowledge in Spanish and a passion for modern languages.
- Essential experience teaching Spanish to Key Stage 4 (GCSE level).
- A desirable ability to contribute to French provision at KS3 or KS4.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning and effective behaviour management.
- Enthusiasm for working collaboratively within a supportive team environment.
Note for ECTs: If you are newly or recently qualified, you will benefit from a comprehensive induction programme, a trained mentor, and additional dedicated professional development time.
