We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Multi-Skilled Carpenter to join our dynamic team, responsible for carrying out responsive and planned repairs across a diverse range of properties within the St Albans area. This is a mobile role ensuring work is completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake a wide variety of carpentry tasks, including but not limited to:
- Door hanging and adjustments
- Lock changes and installations
- Repairing and fitting kitchen units, cupboards, and worktops
- Boxing in pipework and other fixtures
- Carry out repairs and maintenance work in both occupied and void properties.
- Perform tasks in secondary trades, such as:
- Minor plumbing works (e.g., fixing leaks, replacing taps)
- Small area tiling
- Patch plastering
- Ensure all work is completed in a timely manner and to a high standard, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with residents and colleagues.
- Accurately record job details and material usage.
What We are Looking For:
- Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Carpenter.
- A relevant trade qualification (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ Level 2 or equivalent) in Carpentry is essential.
- Demonstrable skills and experience in secondary trades such as minor plumbing, tiling, and plastering.
- A strong understanding of health and safety practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Essential: A valid full UK driving license held for a minimum of 12 months (as a company vehicle will be provided for work use only).
- A commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
