About the Role
As a Music Teacher, you'll lead inspiring lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, bringing music to life through performance, composition, and exploration of different styles and genres.
You'll also have the chance to run extracurricular activities, helping students build confidence, teamwork, and creativity both inside and outside the classroom.
Your Responsibilities
- Deliver dynamic and engaging music lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
- Plan creative schemes of work that develop musical knowledge, skills, and appreciation.
- Support and inspire students in instrumental and vocal performance.
- Lead and develop school music groups, ensembles, and concerts.
- Assess and track student progress, offering tailored support.
- Contribute to whole-school activities and events.
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Passion for teaching music and inspiring young people.
- Experience teaching music at secondary level (KS3 & KS4).
- The ability to play at least one instrument is highly desirable.
- Enthusiasm for running extracurricular music activities.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
