Are you a hardworking Nursery Nurse or Early Years Educator looking to transition into a Primary School setting?
We are currently working with a large, diverse, and inclusive Primary School in Chelmsford that is looking for Level 3 qualified staff to join their Foundation Stage team. The school is keen to hire candidates with a "nursery background" because of your specific expertise in the EYFS framework, personal care, and learning-through-play.
The Opportunity:
This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive Reception team. You will be moving away from the long hours of private day nurseries and into a structured school day.
- Role: Learning Support Assistant (Reception / Key Stage 1).
- Focus: Supporting children with SEN (Autism/Speech & Language) and helping the class generally.
- Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm (Term time only).
Your Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Class Teacher with the delivery of the EYFS curriculum.
- Working 1:1 with children who require extra support with communication and social interaction.
- Assisting with Phonics groups (Experience with Read Write Inc. or Letters and Sounds is a bonus).
- Conducting observations and updating learning journals (Tapestry).
- Helping to create engaging displays and learning resources.
We are looking for:
- Qualification: CACHE / NNEB / NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Early Years or Childcare.
- Experience: Previous experience in a Nursery or School setting is essential.
- Personality: Adaptable, energetic, and patient. You must be comfortable working in a busy, multicultural school environment.
- Compliance: An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
