This role focuses on delivering high-quality occupational therapy services with an emphasis on major home adaptations. You will play a key role in enabling individuals to maintain independence and safety in their own homes through environmental interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out functional assessments to identify the impact of disability on daily living
Recommend and coordinate major adaptations such as level access showers, ramps, stairlifts, and structural alterations
Work in collaboration with service users, carers, contractors, housing providers, and other professionals
Complete clear, evidence-based reports and provide clinical recommendations
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including Disabled Facilities Grants (DFG)
Requirements:
Degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy
Current HCPC registration
Experience in housing adaptations or willingness to develop expertise in this area
Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
