We have an initially temporary Operational Improvement role available within Catnic's Caerphilly site. This role is ideal for someone with efficiency improvement skills and considers themselves to be personable, reliable and holding strong attention to detail.
Role: Operational Improvement Specialist
Location: Catnic, Pontypandy Industrial Estate, Caerphilly CF83 3GL
(100% office based)
Rate: £30,500 per annum/ £15.04ph
Contract length: 3 months initially with the view to transition into a permanent role
Shift Patterns: Mon-Thu 08:00-16:30 and Fri 08:00-15:30 (39 hours per week)
Start: ASAP (pending the result of a medical assessment which does include a Drug and Alcohol test)
Responsibilities:
Driving efficiency and improvements through the production and Materials departments
Identifying improvements to support future business growth
Liaising with the Operational Improvement Manager to support strategy and initiatives
Promoting continuous improvement initiatives throughout the business
Analysing operational data and unpicking this via MS excel
Presenting key insights from above data clearly and concisely
Developing and supporting with improving standard operating procedures
Monitoring performance within Caopex and revenue projects
Investigating process waste and identifying production improvements
Working closely with stakeholders across engineering, production and technical departments
Improving sustainability via improvement initiatives
Essential requirements:
Degree holder (or equivalent) within an Engineering, Business or Manufacturing capacity
Strong analytical skill and proven experience with numerical data
Exceptional IT literacy, in particular MS excel (Pivot tables and Vlook up)
Good verbal and written communication skill
Ability to work proactively and upon own initiative
Approachable persona with confidence speaking to stakeholders of all level
