Operations Manager
Our client's fulfillment center in Coalville is seeking an Operations Manager to lead its rapidly expanding fulfillment network. This role is the most senior position in the UK building, with broad responsibilities across the entire operation. The Operations Manager will be in charge of the full functional operation, including Inbound, Outbound, and Inventory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, develop, and engage a team of warehouse associates.
- Mentor, train, and develop team members for career progression and performance improvement.
- Create and maintain a safe work environment for all associates and leaders.
- Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, and productivity.
- Build and deliver productivity plans by reviewing forecasts and determining productivity requirements.
- Act as the primary information source for the team, ensuring compliance and consistency.
- Create, communicate, and maintain quality control policies and continuous improvement initiatives.
Partner with other managers to share best practices across shifts and the network.
What You'll Need:
- 2-3 years of previous supervisory experience, preferably within e-commerce, warehousing, or distribution industries.
- 1-2 years of management experience is preferred.
- Operational experience and knowledge across two or more functional areas of e-commerce, warehousing/distribution, or 3PL operations (e.g., Outbound, Inbound, Inventory, Value-add Services).
- Ability to manage, motivate, and develop other leaders and team members.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated ability to exceed target goals and objectives.
Strong technical and analytical skills with moderate to advanced capabilities in applications such as MS Excel, Google Sheets, Tableau, or ERP/WMS/TMS.
Compensation:
Monthly performance bonus of up to 8%.
