Join Abbott as a Spare Parts and Logistics Operator and take ownership of our vital inventory lifecycle. You will manage both internal and external stock, ensuring our service teams have exactly what they need to keep medical equipment running worldwide.
Location: Maidenhead SL6 4XE
Pay rate: £15.92 (temp)
Shift pattern: Monday-Friday (9am-5:30pm)
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management: Oversee the receipt, verification, and storage of spare parts while maintaining 100% stock integrity.
- Order Fulfillment: Rapidly pick, pack, and distribute spare parts orders for service personnel.
- Logistics Coordination: Liaise with couriers to manage timely distributions and log all incoming receipts.
- Technical Maintenance: Keep the electronic inventory system updated and conduct regular physical stock checks.
- Specialised Tasks: Manage the return of defective parts to Wiesbaden, coordinate the installation of Abbott equipment, and maintain chemical waste registers.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven stock management experience in a high-volume warehouse or parts department.
- Education: Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths.
- Skills: Strong IT proficiency and excellent communication skills.
- Mindset: Highly organised with a proactive approach to planning.
