The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Pastoral Support Worker to join a welcoming school in Bradford. Requirements
- Previous experience in a pastoral or support role within a school or similar setting.
- A genuine passion for supporting the social, emotional, and academic development of young people.
- An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service, or the willingness to apply for one.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.

Responsibilities
- Providing one-to-one and small group support to students with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties.
- Monitoring student attendance and punctuality, implementing strategies to improve them.
- Acting as a key point of contact for students, parents, and teachers regarding pastoral concerns.
- Liaising with external agencies, such as social services, to ensure students receive appropriate support.
- Implementing and monitoring individual support plans for vulnerable students.
- Delivering targeted interventions and workshops on topics such as resilience, anxiety, and self-esteem.
- Maintaining accurate and confidential records of student interactions and support provided.
- Contributing to the school's positive behaviour management system.
- Attending and contributing to pastoral and safeguarding meetings.
- Promoting a positive and inclusive school culture where every student feels valued and supported.
