Randstad Education is seeking a reliable and energetic PE Cover Supervisor to support one of our exclusive secondary school clients in the Upminster area. While your primary focus will be on the Physical Education (PE) department, candidates must be willing and able to take on general classroom cover across a variety of subjects when needed.
This is a crucial role for individuals seeking flexible, casual work who have a background in sports, coaching, or youth leadership. We are looking for candidates who can commit to regular, flexible shifts at this single location.
Your Responsibilities
... Primary Focus (PE): Confidently supervise groups of students in the gym, on the field, or in theory settings, ensuring positive behaviour and student safety during pre-planned activities.
General Cover: Provide non-specialist cover for other subjects (e.g., Maths, English, Science) across all key stages when required.
Classroom Management: Maintain discipline and ensure students complete the work that has been assigned by the absent teacher.
Uphold Standards: Strictly enforce the school's behavioural and health & safety policies effectively across the school site.
Reliability: Commit to taking ad-hoc shifts as required by the school, becoming a key, reliable member of their daily cover team.
Candidate Essentials
Experience is Required: Proven experience working with children or secondary students in a coaching, sporting, or educational environment is mandatory.
Flexibility: Must be able to adapt quickly to different subjects and classroom needs.
Sporting Background: A strong background, enthusiasm, or qualification in sport or physical education is highly desirable.
Compliance: Successful candidates must have an Enhanced DBS check (full support provided by Randstad Education).
