The Role
We're looking for a dynamic and skilled PE Teacher to join our team. This role is about more than just teaching games; it's about instilling a lifelong love of physical activity. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and inclusive PE lessons across all Key Stages. The ideal candidate will be adept at teaching a wide variety of sports, from traditional team games to individual fitness and wellness activities. You'll have the chance to coach school teams, organise sports events, and help students develop not only their physical abilities but also their communication, leadership, and resilience. You'll be a key part of shaping a positive and energetic school culture.
Your Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver dynamic and inclusive PE lessons to students of all ages and abilities.
- Coach and manage school sports teams, preparing them for competitive fixtures.
- Organise and lead school sports days, inter-school competitions, and other athletic events.
- Foster an environment that promotes sportsmanship, respect, and a healthy lifestyle.
- Assess and monitor students' physical development and skill progression.
- Ensure the safety of all students during physical activities and sports.
- Collaborate effectively with the PE department and the wider school staff.
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Physical Education or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching PE at the secondary level.
- Expertise in a variety of sports and a strong passion for physical activity.
- Excellent coaching, leadership, and communication skills.
- A positive and motivational attitude that inspires students to push their limits.
