As a Planner, you'll be responsible for:
Developing and maintaining detailed project programmes using Microsoft Project (MSP).
Working closely with project managers, site teams, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and realistic schedules.
Monitoring project progress against baselines, identifying critical paths, and highlighting potential delays.
Producing regular progress reports and forecasting future project performance.
Assessing the impact of variations and changes on project timelines, with a keen eye on NEC Contract implications.
Contributing to risk management and mitigation strategies, considering contractual obligations.
Ensuring compliance with NEC Contract requirements and company procedures.
We're looking for someone who has:
Proven experience as a Planner within a civils contracting environment.
Demonstrable expertise in using Microsoft Project (MSP) for complex project scheduling.
Strong knowledge and practical experience with NEC Contracts (e.g., NEC3, NEC4), particularly in relation to programming and compensation events.
A strong understanding of civil engineering construction processes and methodologies.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
The ability to communicate effectively with all levels of project staff and stakeholders.
A proactive and organised approach to work, with keen attention to detail.
Based in or willing to relocate to the North East.
