The Role
You will be working within mainstream Primary schools, typically supporting children with specific needs such as Autism (ASC), ADHD, or Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties.
One-to-One Support: Working closely with individual pupils to keep them engaged and on task.
Behaviour Management: Using positive reinforcement and de-escalation techniques to manage challenging behaviour.
Adaptability: Assisting the class teacher in adapting lessons to meet the unique needs of your key students.
Nurture: creating a safe and supportive environment where children feel confident to learn.

Requirements
Experience: Previous experience working with children (in a school, nursery, or care setting) is essential. Experience with SEN is highly desirable.
Vetting: A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or the willingness to apply for one).
Attitude: Resilience, patience, and a genuine desire to help children overcome barriers to learning.
