Position Overview: As an SEN Teacher, you'll play a vital role in delivering tailored education and support to SEN students. Working closely with colleagues and external partners, you'll design individualised learning plans to meet each student's unique needs, ensuring they reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging lessons across various subjects, adapting teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning needs.
- Provide personalised support and small group instruction, addressing specific learning challenges and abilities.
- Collaborate with SEN coordinators, parents, and external agencies to create and implement comprehensive support plans.
- Regularly assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies to promote academic and personal growth.
- Maintain accurate records of student achievements, progress, and behaviour in compliance with school policies.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience working with SEN students in an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of various SEN conditions, learning difficulties, and effective teaching strategies.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to inclusive education and supporting the holistic development of SEN students.
