Your Core Responsibilities
As a Class Teacher, you will be the heart of the learning experience. Your role will involve:
Curriculum Delivery: Planning and delivering high-quality, engaging lessons that cater to a diverse range of learning styles and abilities.
Assessment for Learning: consistently monitoring pupil progress through formative and summative assessment, using data to inform future planning.
Holistic Support: Creating a nurturing classroom environment that supports the social, emotional, and academic development of every student.
Collaboration: Working closely with Teaching Assistants and the wider staff team to ensure cohesive support for students with SEN or EAL needs.
Parental Engagement: Building strong relationships with parents and carers through clear communication regarding their child's development.
Requirements:
To be considered for this sought-after position, the school expects the following:
Essential Qualification: You must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
Experience: Proven experience teaching within Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 is required (ECTs are welcome to apply).
Curriculum Knowledge: A deep understanding of the current National Curriculum and statutory assessment frameworks.
Safeguarding: A comprehensive understanding of safeguarding protocols and the "Keeping Children Safe in Education" guidance.
Vetting: You must hold an Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to process a new application.
