The Role and Responsibilities
In this role, you will report to the Headteacher and take full responsibility for the progress and well-being of your class.
Key Duties:
- Planning & Delivery: Teach a class of pupils, ensuring that planning and preparation meet their varying learning and social needs through differentiation.
- Target Setting: Set clear targets for pupils' learning based on prior attainment.
- Environment: Provide a stimulating classroom environment where resources are organized and accessible to all pupils.
- Assessment: Integrate formative assessment into weekly and termly planning and keep efficient records of pupil progress.
- Leadership: Lead, organise, and direct support staff within the classroom to maximize impact.
- Communication: Report to parents on attainment and cooperate with specialists from outside agencies.
Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking a proactive professional who models the school's values at all times
- Qualifications: You must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience: Proven experience working with children and young people, with the ability to build and maintain excellent relationships.
- Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, along with accurate record-keeping and filing abilities.
- Confidentiality: Discreet and tactful, with a strong understanding of GDPR and the importance of maintaining confidentiality
