What they require is a specialist setting to achieve their remarkable potential. As our new Lead Primary Teacher, you aren't just managing a classroom; you are architecting an environment where neurodivergent children finally feel safe enough to flourish.
Your Impact
In this dual-focus role, you will balance high-quality specialist teaching with strategic Key Stage leadership:
In the Classroom: Lead a small, personal class of up to 10 pupils, adapting a broad and balanced curriculum to meet specific sensory and learning profiles.
As a Leader: Drive excellence across your Key Stage, overseeing curriculum planning, tracking learner progress, and mentoring a dedicated team of staff.
Holistic Development: Prioritize life and social skills alongside academics, ensuring our learners are prepared for the opportunities and responsibilities of adult life.
Collaboration: Work closely with parents and our multidisciplinary team to ensure every Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) is a living document of success.
Who You Are
You are a resilient, empathetic leader who understands that "all behavior is communication." You balance high expectations with deep compassion.
Essential Criteria:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a proven track record in Primary education.
SEND Experience: Significant experience working with autistic children or young people.
Leadership DNA: The ability to inspire a team, manage performance, and lead with organizational clarity.
Tech-Savvy: Proficient in Google Suite and data management.
The "Extra Mile" (Desirable):
Post-graduate qualifications in Autism or SEN.
NPQML or experience in school improvement planning.
