About the Role:

As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support pupils in their day-to-day learning, providing encouragement, guidance, and practical help. Whether supporting whole-class activities, small groups, or individual pupils, your input will make a real difference.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support teaching and learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher.
• Assist in the preparation of classroom materials and resources.
• Work with individual pupils or small groups to reinforce learning and encourage participation.
• Provide targeted support for pupils with additional needs, including those with SEN.
• Help manage pupil behaviour and promote a positive, respectful classroom environment.
• Support pupils with personal, social, and emotional development.
• Assist with classroom organisation, displays, and general administrative tasks.
• Supervise pupils during break and lunch times as required.
  
  

What We're Looking For:

• A positive, patient, and enthusiastic approach to working with children.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Experience in a primary school or similar setting (desirable).
• A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant) is desirable but not essential.
