Essentials:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is NON-NEGOTIABLE.
- Proven experience teaching and achieving excellent results at Key Stage 4 (GCSE) and Key Stage 5 (A-Level) Psychology.
- Ability to deliver an engaging and challenging curriculum to secondary students (Years 10-13).
- Legal right to work in the UK.
- An Enhanced Child DBS check or be willing to undertake one (we can help with this).
Key Responsibilities:
As the Psychology Teacher, you will be responsible for the high achievement of all your students. Your duties will include:
- Specialist Teaching: Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality, inspiring Psychology lessons primarily to GCSE and A-Level groups.
- Exam Focus: Prepare students thoroughly for all external examinations, ensuring they have the necessary knowledge and exam technique.
- Assessment & Feedback: Mark work, track student progress meticulously using school data, and provide constructive feedback to drive attainment.
- Classroom Management: Establish and maintain a focused, respectful, and stimulating learning environment suitable for secondary school students.
- Teamwork: Contribute positively to the wider department team and the whole-school community.
