The Role:
While primarily office-based, you'll be instrumental in supporting the delivery of essential rail maintenance works, including Under Track Crossings (UTX), drainage systems, trough routes, and track works.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing project documentation and paperwork, including the preparation and review of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
- Ensuring the quality of work by reviewing site reports and liaising with on-site teams.
- Applying for necessary permits, including Permits to Dig.
- Coordinating Temporary Works documents to ensure compliance and safety.
- Supporting the team in delivering essential rail maintenance works, including:
- Under Track Crossings (UTX)
- Drainage systems
- Trough routes
- Track works
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer on rail maintenance projects, with a strong emphasis on office-based duties and paperwork management.
- Valid Personal Track Safety (PTS) ticket is essential.
- Access to your own vehicle and a full UK driving license.
- Strong understanding of rail infrastructure, safety regulations, and Network Rail processes.
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
- Proficient in producing and managing RAMS, ITPs, and temporary works documentation.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality assurance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
