Responsibilities:
- The team completes a range of assessments, conducts section 487 enquiries and establishes whether longer term plans are required for families.
- Involved in issuing court proceedings where needed..
- The team is fast paced where no day is the same
- Able to offer empathetic support to families who have just been referred to the service, families in these circumstances are often in crisis.
- Supervise less experienced social workers and practitioners to achieve positive outcomes for children and families.
- Lead on complex cases and chair key meetings such as case reviews and core group meetings.
- Collect and analyse information and present your findings at strategic meetings.
- Monitor and assess the quality of work carried out by social workers.
- Carry out case reviews and provide feedback to improve social workers' skills and practice.
- Model good practice for less experienced social workers and support their well-being.
- Have a passion for achieving the best outcomes for children through direct work.
- Have a creative and innovative approach.
Requirements:
- Social Work Qualification
- 3+ years experience of working within a similar setting
- Supervisory experience
- Social Work Wales registration or eligible to apply
