The Opportunity:
As the Quality Manager, you will ensure that all components and products consistently meet high-quality standards. You will champion quality across the site, lead the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, and drive a closed-loop approach to resolving systemic failures. Your work is essential in ensuring everyone at the company has access to process documentation and can fulfill their roles without causing quality errors.
Key Responsibilities:
- QMS Leadership: Deliver a robust Quality Management System (QMS) ensuring conformance to internal, customer, ISO 9001, and regulatory/legal requirements.
- Team Management: Lead and support the Quality Team, managing workflow, and supporting engagement from other business functions.
- Issue Resolution: Coordinate the investigation and resolution of customer complaints and Non-Conformance Reports (NCR's), consistently using the 8D process and meeting associated CSL KPIs.
- Continual Improvement: Lead efforts to identify opportunities for and make improvements to the key quality processes on site.
- Audit Management: Manage the monitoring, measurement, review, and auditing of internal processes, especially those affecting product quality.
- People Development: Overall responsibility for Quality team people management, including performance reviews, 1:1's, and recruitment.
- Stakeholder Communication: Lead regular 'PQM' meetings to report on company quality performance to a wide group of stakeholders and manage customer and business partner expectations on product quality issues.
Required Knowledge & Experience
- 5 years' experience of leading/managing a quality function is preferred.
- Excellent fluency in spoken and written English and strong communication skills.
- Experience in building and maintaining a high-performing team.
- Report writing and presentation skills.
- Able to manage complex improvement projects and interpret complex information to make decisions.
- A self-starter and effective time manager, able to see projects through to completion.
- Membership of the professional body Chartered Quality Institute is preferred.
- Experience in creating Power BI reports is a distinct advantage.
