Pay rate: £12.38.
Shift pattern: Adhoc. Morning & afternoon/evening shifts.
Role length: 2 months with potential of extension.
The Role
As Relief Operational Support Staff, you'll be involved in a variety of tasks including:
- Access Control: Operating the Harbour gate to ensure safe and organised access for vessels.
- Maintenance & Cleaning: Performing scheduled maintenance tasks and ensuring the marina and its facilities (including washrooms) are kept clean and in excellent condition.
- Safety Checks: Conducting daily and periodic safety checks, addressing minor issues, and reporting more significant concerns to management.
- Customer Liaison: Providing a high standard of customer service to all marina users, including mooring holders, commercial operators, and visitors, and assisting with any queries.
- Operational Support: Supporting the overall operation of the Harbour facilities in line with established plans and procedures.
- Income Collection: Collecting additional incomes as required.
This is a flexible role, as and when required, to support the operational needs of the marina.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A good standard of education (NVQ Level 2 equivalent in a related field, or demonstrable experience).
- Health and Safety training.
- First Aid experience.
- Experience with office-based administrative systems.
- Numerate and literate with strong communication skills.
- Flexible and adaptable in your approach.
- Good administrative and ICT skills.
- A full driving licence.
