Salary: £150 - £220 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Your Duties:
- Engaging Lessons: Plan, prepare, and deliver creative and challenging RE lessons for students across Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A-Level, exploring a diverse range of world religions, as well as philosophy and ethics.
- Student Development: Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment where students feel confident to discuss sensitive and complex topics, encouraging critical thinking and respectful dialogue.
- Assessment and Feedback: Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them improve their understanding and attain their academic goals.
- Curriculum Enrichment: Contribute to the development of a dynamic RE curriculum and support extra-curricular activities, such as trips to places of worship or organising guest speakers.
- Pastoral Care: Act as a form tutor, playing a key role in the pastoral and personal development of students.
Skills & Qualifications
- A degree in Religious Studies, Theology, Philosophy, or a related subject.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience teaching Religious Education at a secondary school level.
- Excellent subject knowledge and a genuine passion for the subject.
- The ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities and backgrounds.
- Strong classroom management and a commitment to safeguarding.
