      Have you worked in a school previously supporting on Pupil Attendance? Have you used the school's database system SIMS? Randstad Education is thrilled to be working with an "Outstanding" Ofsted rated primary school that bases itself on actively teaching the students values and characteristics that will guide them through their time at school and after. The role starts as soon as possible and may lead into the start of the new academic year in September for the right person. The pay rate starts at £12 per hour with shift times usually between 8.30am to 4.30pm.You will be working in a diverse primary school with a big emphasis on community. The core values are based around "Attitudes, Personal Qualities and Study Skills" so you will be expected to be committed to leading your daily work with the students at the forefront of your mind. With this in mind you will have the full backing of the school and all the support you can get. Responsibilities as an Attendance Officer To implement the school's attendance policyTo oversee attendance records, ensuring that they are accurate and up to dateTo follow up referrals relating to school attendance in accordance with the attendance policyTo communicate with parents/carers or local authority as requiredTo organise welfare/home visitsTo refer non-school attendance cases to the local authorityContact parents to discuss concerns and coordinate appointments for attendance meetingsTo check dual registration studentsProduce statistical reports and accurate data daily, weekly, termly and annuallyMaintain written records of all actions taken in attendance-related meetings with parentsThe ideal person for the role will have:Must have had experience with the use of SIMS (essential requirement)DBS cleared and on the update service (Randstad can support you in processing this)Demonstrate a flexible approach to workload and prioritise tasks efficientlyEnsure that work is produced in a timely and efficient mannerExperience of working in a school Quick learner Able to multitask If this opportunity excites you, don't be afraid to get in touch!
