        An exciting opportunity for a Network Engineer to join Norfolk & Suffolk police. Meet one of the following qualification standards:Minimum of level 5 qualification in Computer Science, Electronics or a related disciplinePrevious study in networking to CISCO CCNP standard, or equivalent with any major current equipment manufacturer, e.g. Juniper, Extreme Networks, FortinetDemonstrable equivalent experience to either of the above2. Experience of working as a network engineer in an enterprise environment, with up-to-date technical knowledge including routing, switching, firewalls, load balancers and VoIP3. Ability to analyse complex numerical data and identify trends and anomalies4. Experience of problem solving using programming language such as Python, Java, or C5. Experience of team working in a customer service environment6. Ability to work outside office hours as requested7. Ability to rack-mount computer equipment weighing up to 5kg to a height of 1.5 metres8. Full UK driving licence, owing to the need to drive police vehicles carrying heavy equipment, occasionally out of hoursDesirable CriteriaExperience of the implementation, configuration and maintenance of a mainstream Linux distribution, e.g. Debian, Redhat, CentOSExperience of implementing and maintaining Cacti and associated componentsRandstad Business Support is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
