School Business Manager (Part-time) - PR1 Area
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced School Business Manager to join a primary school in the PR1 area. This is a long-term, part-time position advertised through Randstad Education, with a strong possibility of becoming permanent.
About the Role: This is a pivotal role where you will be responsible for the financial and operational health of the school. You will work three days a week, from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, managing everything from budgets to compliance. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the school runs smoothly and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
... Financial Management: Generate and oversee the school's budget, manage financial accounting systems, and ensure full compliance with audit requirements.
HR & Staffing: Lead HR processes and handle all staffing matters.
Operations: Lead on statutory risk assessments and manage compliance.
Income Generation: Develop and manage new income streams, including negotiating lease and contract agreements for site lettings.
Procurement: Maintain and enforce procurement and financial operating manuals.
The Ideal Candidate: We are looking for someone with recent experience as a School Business Manager, ideally within an educational setting. You must have a clear understanding of how effective business management directly impacts school performance. Strong financial planning, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential. You must be able to provide two professional references, have the right to work in the UK, and either hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
