A diverse and vibrant school is looking for a friendly experienced School HR Officer to join their office and administration team. The school timings are from Monday-Friday and 8:00 am - 4:00 pm.

Responsibilities for this role will include:
- Deliver a proactive, effective and efficient HR service to all schools and the Trust
- Contribute to developing and implementing HR policies and processes
- Gather, report on and use HR data and metrics to support best practice
- To lead the associated school-based HR Coordinators in conjunction with the designated line manager
- To assist the designated line manager in providing an efficient, proactive and comprehensive HR administration service and work within the HR processes
- Working with all schools as a first point of contact and to troubleshoot issues and provide a professional, accurate, effective and confidential HR administrative service.
- To work in partnership with others, ensuring compliance with regulations and procedures.
- To work in compliance with Codes of Conduct, regulations and policies including Keeping Children Safe in Education and ensuring quality of work is of a high standard and complies with current legislation working with GDPR guidelines.
- To maintain regular and effective communications with a range of applicants, colleagues, and outside agencies
- To manage and maintain the HR databases by adding, amending, maintaining and refining the data to ensure personnel records are up to date and compliant with DfE and staff Workforce Census requirements
- To oversee the recruitment and onboarding process including pre-employment checks of all new staff are carried out accurately including DBS and health checks, references and other related paperwork
- To be responsible for monthly payroll processes (adding new staff, contract variations, overtime, sickness monitoring, statutory leave, deductions for salary sacrifice)
- To enter all HR and payroll functions accurately and confidentially for monthly payroll

Skills an ideal candidate should have:
- Extensive experience in a HR management role
- Be eligible to work in the UK (No Sponsorship provided )
- Hold relevant qualifications
- Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
- Ability to maintains strictest confidentiality and integrity at all times
- 2 proven relevant experience
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Possession of high level, decision making skills and attention to detail
- Ability to respond flexibly and adapt to changing and challenging circumstances
