Randstad Education is seeking a skilled and compassionate SEN Science Teacher to join one of our partner schools in Sefton. This is a full-time, term-time role starting immediately or in September, with long-term potential for the right candidate.
The Role:
As an SEN Science Teacher, you will design and deliver practical, differentiated science lessons that cater to a wide range of learning needs, including Autism, ADHD, Severe and Profound Learning Difficulties (SLD/PMLD), and other complex educational requirements. Your goal will be to foster engagement and promote confidence through structured, hands-on scientific learning.
Responsibilities:
- Planning and teaching science lessons tailored to individual Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Using sensory and visual resources to support understanding of scientific concepts.
- Creating a calm, inclusive environment where every child can access the curriculum.
- Collaborating with support staff and external professionals to meet student needs.
- Assisting with personal care duties, where necessary.
What We're Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - Required.
- UK classroom experience working with students with SEN.
- Strong behaviour management and adaptive teaching skills.
- A genuine commitment to inclusive and innovative education.
- Immediate or September 2025 availability.
