The Role
We are seeking an inspiring Science Teacher to join us for the summer term. As a subject specialist, you will be responsible for delivering engaging Biology, Chemistry, and Physics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. This is a critical period as we support our Year 11 students through their final GCSE examinations and transition our younger cohorts into their next stage of learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons that challenge and engage students of all abilities.
Prepare students for GCSE examinations through targeted revision and rigorous assessment.
Manage a safe and productive laboratory environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols.
Maintain our high standards of classroom engagement and behaviour management.
Contribute to the wider school community and the department's shared goals.
What We Are Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS: Mandatory for this position.
Science Subject Specialist: A strong degree in a Science discipline and the ability to teach across all three sciences at KS3/4.
Classroom Engagement: A teacher who can bring complex scientific concepts to life through practical and theoretical excellence.
Proven Behaviour Management: Ability to thrive in an environment of high expectations and maintain a focused learning atmosphere.
