Role Overview:
As a Science Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in delivering outstanding education across KS3 and KS4, helping students understand the world around them through biology, chemistry, and physics.
You'll have the freedom to teach your specialism, while also contributing to a well-rounded science curriculum that encourages experimentation, critical thinking, and curiosity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality science lessons (KS3 & KS4).
- Teach across the science disciplines with a specialism in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.
- Inspire, challenge, and support all learners to achieve their potential.
- Prepare students for GCSE success through structured, differentiated teaching.
- Use practical demonstrations and lab-based experiments to bring theory to life.
- Assess, track and report on student progress.
- Maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Participate in department planning, extra-curricular clubs, and science events.
What We're Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) - ECTs welcome to apply!
- A degree in a Science subject (Biology, Chemistry, Physics or related field).
- Strong subject knowledge across the science curriculum.
- Confident classroom management and a nurturing teaching approach.
- Ability to engage, motivate and inspire learners of all abilities.
- Passion for science and a desire to foster scientific thinking in young minds.
