Randstad are currently supporting a high-achieving secondary school in Rainham who are seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join their department on a long-term basis for the remainder of the academic year. This is a pivotal role requiring a specialist who can provide stability and high-quality instruction during a crucial period for students. This role is an immediate start.
The school is looking for a teacher who is passionate about Biology, Chemistry, and Physics and is committed to raising attainment across the board.
The Ideal Candidate
This role requires a teacher with a commanding presence. You must be able to hit the ground running and establish yourself as a leader in the classroom from day one.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): A mandatory requirement. We are looking for someone with a solid understanding of the UK National Curriculum.
Strong Behaviour Management: You must possess the skills to manage classroom dynamics effectively. We need an educator who sets high expectations, implements firm boundaries, and fosters a culture of mutual respect.
Subject Expertise: You should be comfortable delivering engaging and safe practical lessons across KS3 and KS4.
Key Responsibilities
Planning and delivering high-quality Science lessons that challenge and inspire students of all abilities.
Utilising the school's behaviour policy to maintain a focused and productive learning environment.
Assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and preparing pupils for upcoming examinations.
Collaborating with the Science department and technicians to ensure all practical experiments are conducted safely and effectively.
