The Wirral's secondary schools are buzzing, and we need you to lead the way. We are excited to announce new openings for Qualified Science Teachers (KS3/KS4) looking for a fresh start.
Start date: Immediate or post-Easter starts.
Whether you are on the coast or in the heart of the borough, we've got you covered in these major areas: Birkenhead (CH41, CH42, CH43), Wallasey (CH44, CH45), Bebington (CH63), Bromborough (CH62), Heswall (CH60, CH61), West Kirby (CH48), and Pensby (CH61).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging Biology, Chemistry, and Physics lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Prepare and supervise safe, exciting practical experiments.
- Mark student work and provide constructive feedback to drive progress.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment where students feel safe to fail and learn.
- Collaborate with the department to develop innovative schemes of work.
- Attend departmental meetings and occasional parent's evenings.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised equivalent.
- Ability to teach your core specialism to KS3 and KS4 students.
- Strong classroom management skills with a focus on student engagement.
- A valid DBS check (or willingness to process one).
