About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Science Technician to join a thriving academy in the area of Bradford. Requirements
- Experience working as a Science Technician in a school setting.
- Excellent knowledge of health and safety procedures in a school science lab.
- Eligibility work in the UK
- Enhanced child DBS on the update service (Willingness to apply for a new one)

Key Responsibilities
- Preparing apparatus, materials, and solutions for science lessons and demonstrations.
- Ensuring all equipment is clean, in good working order, and readily available for use.
- Checking and testing the functionality of equipment, such as microscopes and power supplies.
- Conducting routine safety checks on equipment and facilities.
- Conducting and documenting risk assessments for all practical activities.
- Ensuring all students and staff are aware of safety protocols during practical sessions.
- Assisting with the setting up of apparatus for exams and assessments.
- Helping to supervise students during practical work.
- Providing support for science-related projects and extra-curricular clubs.
- Liaising with teaching staff to understand their technical needs for upcoming lessons.
