Section Engineer - Civil Construction - Suffolk
We are looking for a motivated Section Engineer to join our team in Suffolk. This role is based on large infrastructure and road schemes, requiring a strong technical background and solid site experience to ensure successful project delivery.
As the Section Engineer, you'll be responsible for managing and supervising engineering activities on-site, ensuring works are carried out to design specifications, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise engineering activities on-site, ensuring compliance with design specifications.
- Oversee setting out activities and ensure accuracy in line with project requirements.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project progress.
- Monitor construction progress, identify and resolve technical issues, and report to the Project Manager.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
About You:
- Proven experience as a Section Engineer on civil engineering projects.
- Experience working on large infrastructure and road schemes.
- Strong setting out skills and experience with surveying equipment.
- Excellent knowledge of construction methods, materials, and best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret design drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering.
