We are partnered with a forward-thinking SEN School in Bury St Edmunds, committed to providing high-quality education and emotional support for students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. They aim to re-engage students with learning, build confidence, and equip them with the tools for lifelong success.
They are now seeking a qualified, enthusiastic, and resilient SEMH Teacher to join their experienced and passionate team. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of pupils who need it most.
Your Role:
- Deliver creative and tailored lessons to students with SEMH and associated needs
- Plan and adapt lessons to meet a range of learning abilities and emotional needs
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and support staff
- Build trusted relationships that foster emotional security and academic engagement
- Contribute to a positive, structured, and trauma-informed school environment

What We're Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS) - essential
- Child DBS on the update service
- Experience teaching students with SEMH, SEN, or in alternative provision settings
- A nurturing, restorative approach to behaviour management
- Strong communication, organisational, and reflective practice skills
- Commitment to inclusive, child-centred learning
